Bone Regeneration
CERASORB® Foam
Resorbable, pure-phase β-tricalcium phosphate + collagen matrix
CERASORB® Foam is a highly porous combined material made of collagen and pure-phase β-tricalcium phosphate granules of different sizes and densities. The collagen matrix embeds the granules and stabilizes them by virtue of its fibrous structure. This special combination of the two materials provides a high volume stability during the bone formation process.
Bone graft handling provided in two options:
- Moldable adapts and conforms to the defect.
- Flexible provides compressive resistance and “shape memory” for surgical indications where muscles and other anatomic structures are challenging for bone graft placement.
Benefits
- Designed for resorption and new bone formation to mimic autologous bone
- Superior handling with rapid hydration of surgeon preferred fluids including autologous fluids, growth factors and antibiotics for various orthopaedic and spinal indications
- Engineered graft designed to fully remodel into host (autologous) bone in the appropriate physiologic timeframe
Indications
- Traumatology
- Foot and Ankle
- Total Joint Arthroplasty Revision
- Clavicle/Elbow
- Tibial Fractures
